“Identifying and addressing personal health needs should be a priority, guiding our actions towards better health outcomes,” affirmed the Minister.

Addressing common misconceptions, Dr Khaleel clarified that health rights extend beyond medical treatment, encompassing aspects like maternal and child health, proper nutrition, access to clean water, and sanitation. These, he stressed, significantly impact both physical and mental well-being.

The Minister advocated for comprehensive measures to uphold health rights, including regular medical check-ups, preventative vaccinations, and promoting healthy habits within communities.

Furthermore, Minister Khaleel highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring equitable access to essential healthcare services, irrespective of financial or physical barriers. He reiterated the state’s obligation to uphold these rights, in accordance with international human rights conventions.

In a bid to enhance healthcare services, Minister Khaleel outlined ongoing initiatives, including the introduction of air ambulance services and improvements to the Aasandha health insurance system.

The Minister’s address underscores the importance of personal agency in promoting health and signals a proactive approach towards achieving universal healthcare goals.
