Ministry Announces New Scholarships for Study in India and Japan

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has opened applications for two new international scholarship opportunities for Maldivians seeking higher studies and research abroad.
The first opportunity is for an M.Tech. Programme in Dam Safety and Rehabilitation under India’s Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) scheme. A total of two scholarships are available. Interested applicants must submit their applications by 12:00 PM on 4th June 2025. Applications can be submitted through the official portal at https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in.

The second opportunity is a Research Sponsored Fellowship Programme from the Matsumae International Foundation in Japan, covering the academic years 2026 to 2027. The application deadline for this fellowship is 30th June 2025, and submissions can be made via https://mohe.gov.mv/announcements/view/766.
