The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has launched a mobile application named Haaji MV, aimed at providing accessible and reliable guidance for Maldivian pilgrims undertaking Hajj and Umrah.
The app was officially introduced by the State Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr Moosa Anwar Hassan. It has been developed to offer pilgrims verified, Ministry-approved information on performing key rituals associated with Hajj and Umrah.

Among the features of Haaji MV are step-by-step instructions for rites such as Tawaf and Sa’i, dhikr counters for tracking daily remembrances, and a collection of authentic duas sourced from the Quran and Sunnah. The app also includes instructional videos and historical information about the holy cities of Makkah and Madina.
This is the first version of the application, currently available on the Google Play Store. The Ministry has stated that efforts are ongoing to make the app available on the Apple App Store as well.
The app is intended to replace the need for printed guidebooks and prayer texts, allowing users to access all essential resources directly from their mobile devices. The Ministry has confirmed that all content has been reviewed and approved, with future updates planned to enhance its functionality and scope.
