The Ministry of Social and Family Development has opened a child-care facility aimed at supporting working parents and promoting greater gender equality in the workplace.
According to the Ministry, the introduction of child-care spaces within office environments plays a crucial role in helping employees, particularly women, balance professional responsibilities with family life. By enabling staff to keep their children close while they work, the initiative is expected to improve peace of mind, enhance mental well-being, and allow employees to focus more effectively on their tasks.

The Ministry stated that such facilities can improve staff productivity, encourage consistent attendance, and foster a more engaged and comfortable workplace atmosphere. It also highlighted that accessible child-care spaces can lead to greater job satisfaction and serve as a valuable tool for employers to attract and retain talent.
This development forms part of a broader effort to advance gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment in the workplace. The Ministry noted that collaboration between government agencies and private companies is essential to achieving gender equality through structured support systems. The establishment of these spaces marks a step forward in creating equal employment opportunities for women at all levels.
