MIRA Celebrates 15 Years with Awards to Highest Tax Contributors

The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has recognised the country’s leading taxpayers of the past 15 years with the “Ran Fanara” awards.
The awards were presented at a ceremony marking MIRA’s 15th anniversary, with the Minister of Finance and Planning, Moosa Zameer, attending as chief guest.

The recipients of the “Ran Fifteen” Award were Bank of Maldives, Dhiraagu, I&T Management, Ithaafushi Investment, Casa Holdings, Kurehdhoo Holdings, Maldives Airports Company, Ooredoo Maldives, Qatar Airways, Reethi Rah Resort, State Bank of India, State Trading Organisation, Trans Maldivian Airways, Universal Enterprises, and Villa Shipping and Trading.
MIRA stated that these companies recorded the highest tax payments between 1 January 2011 and 30 June 2025. The authority had previously published the criteria and procedures for awarding the Ran Fanara Awards but did not disclose the specific amounts paid by the recipients.
In addition to honouring top taxpayers, MIRA presented special awards to employees who have served the agency for 10 or 15 years, as well as the “Staff of the Year” award to the most outstanding employee of the past year.
