The scholarships were presented during a ceremony held at the MMA headquarters yesterday, with the Minister of Education, Dr Ismail Shafeeu, in attendance. Recipients will have the opportunity to enrol in the Executive Masters in Islamic Finance programme at INCEIF University in Malaysia.
Of the total, five scholarships are fully funded, while the remaining ten are partially funded. The programme, developed by leading scholars in both conventional and Sharia-compliant finance, is designed for professionals in the field. It offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at enhancing leadership skills, deepening expertise in Islamic finance, and enabling participants to contribute to institutional and community development.
The initiative forms part of the MMA’s strategic efforts to build human capacity in the Maldives’ expanding Islamic finance sector.
