MMPRC Announces New Year’s Eve Celebrations in Hulhumale’

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has announced a schedule of events to mark the New Year.

The celebrations will take place on 31 December 2024 and 1 January 2025 at Central Park in Hulhumale’. The events will include the Maldivian Cultural and Food Festival, a drone show, and a fireworks display, offering activities that highlight Maldivian culture and traditions.

The Maldivian Cultural and Food Festival will run across both days, featuring local music, dance, and crafts. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore Maldivian cuisine and cultural practices. The festival is open to locals and tourists, creating a space for interaction and cultural exchange.

On the evening of 31 December, a drone show will take place, presenting a story of a tourist’s visit to the Maldives. The event will use drone technology to create visual effects over the skies of Hulhumale’.

At midnight, the celebrations will conclude with a fireworks display to welcome the New Year. The display will take place over Hulhumale’ and is expected to draw participants from across the region.

The events will be held at Central Park in Hulhumale’, with activities continuing from the evening of 31 December to midday on 1 January. Both locals and visitors are invited to take part in the celebrations.
