MNDF Extinguishes Two Fires in Addu City

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Southern Area Command extinguished two separate fires in Addu City yesterday, with no injuries reported.
A fire broke out in an uninhabited house in Hulhudhoo at around 18:56 last night. Firefighters from the Hulhumeedhoo Fire Station responded promptly and brought the blaze under control by approximately 19:11.
Earlier in the day, MNDF personnel put out another fire at the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) site in Meedhoo, where plastic bottles had caught fire. The incident was reported at 10:39am, and firefighters from the Hulhumeedhoo Fire Station attended the scene. They extinguished the fire by around 12:08pm.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained in either incident.
