Mohamed Aiman Wins Ooredoo Nation Elite Showdown 2025

Ooredoo Nation announced Mohamed Aiman as the winner of the Elite Showdown 2025 – EAFC Series on Sunday, marking the conclusion of one of the country’s key esports tournaments.
The event, held at Ooredoo Maldives Headquarters in Hulhumalé, featured 24 participants competing in EAFC, a popular football video game, under a single-elimination format. Players competed for a share of the MVR 10,000 prize pool, awarded to the top three finishers.

Mohamed Aiman secured first place in the tournament, winning MVR 5,000. Abdulla Maahil came in second and received MVR 3,000, while Mohamed Zameel finished third with a prize of MVR 2,000.

The closing ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment and the Racing Association of the Maldives. To conclude the evening, Aiman and Zameel played a friendly exhibition match on the newly released FC26, offering audiences a first look at the next edition of competitive football gaming.
Ooredoo Nation stated it remains committed to supporting the growth of esports in the Maldives by creating inclusive and competitive platforms for players to connect and showcase their skills.
