MRC Collects Over MVR 1.6 Million in Donations to Aid Palestine

The Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) held a press conference, today, stating that over MVR 1.6 Million has been collected in donations to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society so far.

During the conference, they articulated their commitment to transparency in handling the funds collected for the Palestine emergency relief efforts.

The key highlight of the announcement was the assurance that the funds generated for the cause would be directly transferred to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. This transfer, however, would only occur after settling the necessary bank charges incurred during the transaction process. 

The MRC stated that the funds are consistently subjected rigorous audits, thereby demonstrating that the public’s contributions are used effectively and efficiently for humanitarian purposes.
