MRC Facilitates Donations for Moroccan Earthquake Response and Recovery

Maldivian Red Crescent opens the opportunity to donate funds for the Emergency Appeal by the International  Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to respond to the earthquake in Morocco and support the relief efforts.  

On 12th September 2023, the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) launched Emergency Appeals for CHF 100 million to respond to a deadly 6.8 magnitude earthquake in  Morocco which occurred on 8th September 2023. The Moroccan Red Crescent has immediately mobilised to support communities affected. 

This appeal will be targeted toward the delivery of humanitarian assistance such as health, clean water,  sanitation and hygiene, shelter, relief items and basic needs (food, household essentials), livelihoods,  protection, and community engagement to affected areas and individuals in Morocco. The Maldivian Red Crescent is opening the opportunity to donate funds towards the Emergency Appeal of  IFRC and donations will be collected for 07 days from 14th September 2023 to 21st September 2023.
