MTCC Mobilises Sh. Noomaraa Harbour Development Project

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) initiated operations at the project site for the Sh. Noomaraa Harbour Development Project on September 27, 2023.
This undertaking encompasses a range of infrastructure improvements, including the dredging of 34,386 cubic metres in the new harbour basin, an additional 5,076 cubic metres for maintenance dredging operations, and 2,920 cubic metres for channel dredging.

The project also involves the repair of a 32-metre-long existing quay wall, the construction of a new 177-metre quay wall, a substantial 303-meter breakwater, a 64-metre revetment, and the establishment of a 120-metre by 2-metre concrete jetty.

Furthermore, an 11-metre by 11-metre concrete ramp, an access platform, 1,652 square metres of harbour pavement, and harbour lights and mooring buoys will be installed as part of this development.
The project is valued at MVR 53.3 million.
