MTCC’s S. Hithadhoo Old Harbour Breakwater Project (Phase 2) Advances

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC)’s S. Hithadhoo Old Harbour Breakwater Construction Project (Phase 2) is in progress. The second shipment of concrete blocks required for the construction of the quay wall has been delivered to the project site.

The project’s scope includes various components, such as 5.88 hectares of land reclamation, a 419-metre revetment, a 270-metre groyne, a 728-metre quay wall, a 5455-square metre harbour pavement, a scour apron, and the construction of a 12-metre by 12-metre ramp and a 10-metre by 96-metre bridge.

The total project is valued at MVR 130.26 million.
