Muizzu Appoints CEO for LGA

The President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Dr. Mariyam Zulfa as the Chief Executive Officer of the Local Government Authority.
Prior to her appointment, Zulfa served as a board member of the National Parks Advisory Council within the Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action in Melbourne, Australia.
Zulfa has a history of public service, having previously served as the Minister of Tourism. This background equips her with insights into governance and public administration, which will be valuable in her new position.
Educationally, Zulfa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Carting Business School, Carting University, Australia. Additionally, she possesses a Masters of Public and International Law (LL.M.) from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Waikato University, New Zealand.
