Muizzu Appoints Firuzul as Transitional Spokesperson

In a recent development, President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has chosen Mohamed Firuzul Abdullah Haleel as the transitional spokesperson. 

Firuzul, from Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo, brings with him a background in education, having pursued his studies at Azhar University in Egypt. His most recent role was serving as the Deputy Director General of the Ilm Institute, under the leadership of Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

While the appointment of Mohamed Firuzul as the transitional spokesperson is a significant move, it is noteworthy that People’s National Congress (PNC) Chairman Abdul Raheem Abdullah has concurrently been named as the Director General of Transition, in accordance with the Transition Process Act.
