President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed commendation for the adoption of the long-awaited UN Security Council resolution, which calls for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan in Gaza.

Emphasising the significance of this development, Muizzu stated, “This has been long overdue.”

Highlighting the importance of international support, Muizzu stressed the need for sustained efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire and to swiftly halt the perpetration of genocidal acts. He reiterated the call for increased global assistance to the Palestinian population.
