Muizzu Concludes Visit to the UAE and Arrives in Malé

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the World Governments Summit 2024 and arrived back in Malé this afternoon.
Muizzu travelled to the UAE at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Minister for Defence of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai.
On Tuesday, Muizzu delivered his main address at the World Governments Summit 2024, during which he announced an ambitious vision for the Maldives’ future to achieve sustainable development. Muizzu also held several high-level engagements on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit 2024.
Muizzu also delivered a keynote address at the Invest Maldives 2024 Dubai, held at Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE, where he emphasised the essential role of private sector-led growth in achieving the transformation goals the Government aspires to. Invest Maldives 2024 Dubai also served as a networking platform for potential investors to engage with the local business community and high-level Government officials.
During the visit, Muizzu additionally met with the Maldivian community residing in the UAE on Wednesday evening, where he officially launched “Riveli,” a tailor-made online programme to revitalise nationalistic identity by incorporating Dhivehi language and Islamic studies to teach Maldivians abroad.
