Muizzu Congratulates USA’s President Trump on His Inauguration

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu congratulated the USA’s President Donald Trump on his inauguration yesterday.
In a post on X, President Muizzu said the Maldives looks forward to working with President Trump, the 47th president of the United States, to achieve shared goals of global peace.
“I wish you wisdom and resolve as you take the helm at a time when the world is engulfed in dire turmoil and uncertainty,” President Muizzu said in his post on X.

The presidential inauguration parade, usually held on the streets of Washington DC, was held indoors yesterday due to the current Arctic blast spreading freezing temperatures through the US East Coast.
According to the Guardian, since having taken the presidential oath, Trump has signed 78 documents, including one seeking to revoke birthright citizenship in the United States, as well as executive orders seeking the country’s withdrawal from the Paris climate change accords and World Health Organization.
