Muizzu Meets with the Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, Admiral John Aquilino, this morning.

During the meeting, the Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command congratulated Muizzu on his assumption of office and remarked on the longstanding relationship between the Maldives and the United States.

Muizzu expressed his appreciation for the United States in aiding the Maldives in capacity building by providing training opportunities for Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) personnel.

In response, Commander Admiral John Aquilino reiterated his commitment to full assistance in strengthening capacity building in the defence force.
