President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that land registry documents will be issued within the next two months to those who have been allocated plots in Gulhifalhu.
Muizzu stated that thousands of individuals have received land in the area, with the previous administration allocating plots in both dredged and undrained sections. He added that the current government has since revised the land use plan.
He confirmed that registration would not be provided to those who received plots in areas designated for bridge construction. However, he assured that individuals who had been allocated land in undrained sections would be given plots on dry land instead. Preparations are underway to equip these areas with the necessary infrastructure.
Additionally, Muizzu announced that the land use plan has been amended to accommodate the development of a hospital and other essential facilities.
