Muizzu Pledges Vehicle Registration for Parking Slots

Dr. Muizzu, the People’s National Congress (PNC) presidential candidate, has declared a commitment to address the pressing parking issue within Male’ city roads by introducing a vehicle registration system for designated parking slots.

Muizzu, who presently serves as the Mayor of Male’, underscored his past endeavors to tackle the parking problem during his tenure. He highlighted that despite concerted efforts, collaboration from the government remained limited, thwarting the effective resolution of the issue. He noted that although comprehensive plans were developed, incorporating essential resources and investor interest, regulatory hindrances prevented their implementation.

In the event of his election, Muizzu expressed his commitment to constructing dedicated parking structures across the city and allocating specific parking slots to every resident of Male’. These slots would subsequently be registered under the respective owners’ names, streamlining the management of parking resources.

Additionally, Muizzu pledged to eliminate the current necessity for a ‘garage letter’ when registering a vehicle within Male’ City. He affirmed his dedication to enhancing vehicular mobility and addressing road-related concerns throughout the city. Muizzu concluded by reiterating his unwavering focus on public welfare and his determination to maintain close collaboration with the local populace.
