President Dr Mohamed Muizzu urged parents and the community to prioritise raising children who are skilled and instilled with a strong work ethic.
President Dr Muizzu said this on the occasion of Labour Day last Thursday, articulating a national ambition of ensuring that no Maldivian is left without means for gainful employment. The President recognised how the workforce’s daily efforts have contributed to the nation’s progress. By highlighting their achievements, he emphasised that the Government is committed to listening to the needs and aspirations of its citizens and establishing pathways that enhance income opportunities for everyone.
One of the heartening aspects of the President’s address was his focus on education. He posited that the education system must evolve to incorporate lessons on work ethics and practical skills, enabling youth to enter and thrive within the workforce.
