New Monument Inaugurated at Velana International Airport

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) unveiled a new welcome monument at Velana International Airport (VIA), marking a significant addition to the airport’s infrastructure. 

The monument, equipped with an integrated LED screen showcasing current airport events, is designed to complement VIA’s recently upgraded terminal.

According to MACL, the introduction of the monument is part of a broader initiative aimed at improving the overall passenger experience at the Maldives’ busiest air hub through structural enhancements.

In addition to the new monument, MACL has confirmed ongoing efforts to streamline traffic flow within VIA. Changes to pickup points are being implemented to enhance convenience for passengers navigating the airport.

These adjustments coincide with VIA’s expansion plans, which are set to culminate with the completion and inauguration of a new international passenger terminal. Once operational, these developments are expected to facilitate smoother movement and improved efficiency within the airport premises.
