New Year’s Festival Postponed Due to Bad Weather

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts has officially announced the postponement of New Year’s Eve Festival 2024.
The festival, initially scheduled to take place at Central Park in Hulhumale’ on the night of the 31st of this month, has been postponed owing to unfavorable weather conditions.
In a press release, the Youth Ministry emphasised that the decision to postpone the event was made in consideration of public safety, citing the current adverse weather conditions that render travel unsafe. The National Meteorological Agency concurred with this assessment, further supporting the decision to reschedule the festival.
The Youth Ministry stated that, in light of the prevailing weather conditions, it was deemed prudent to delay the event until a later date. The Youth Ministry assured the public that a new date for the festival would be communicated as soon as weather conditions permit.
The New Year’s Festival, organised by the Youth Ministry, had initially promised a platform for young individuals to showcase their talents. Additionally, the event was set to feature a special children’s family evening, a captivating laser show, and a spectacular fireworks display.
