According to Maldives Immigration, although the official working hours have been shortened, service hours—including all passport-related services—will remain unchanged.
The agency clarified that the adjustment applies solely to internal administrative hours and does not affect public-facing operations.
Maldives Immigration is the only government uniformed body within the civil service and employs nearly 500 staff.
