Under the collaboration, eeezap users will be able to make secure digital payments through mFaisaa from 1 December 2025.
Ooredoo’s mFaisaa is widely used in the Maldives for bill payments, merchant transactions, money transfers, mobile top-ups and, soon, international remittances. The integration with eeezap expands the platform’s reach as part of its ongoing efforts to increase digital payment accessibility nationwide.
Commenting on the partnership, Hussain Niyaz, Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Fintech Maldives, said the company aims to make digital payments accessible across the country. Abdullah Miuvan Shareef, CEO and CFO of eeezap, said the partnership supports the company’s focus on simplifying daily tasks for users. He described the integration of mFaisaa as a step towards offering a more convenient and efficient payment experience.
The partnership aligns with national efforts to advance digital inclusion and support a shift towards a cashless economy. Ooredoo Fintech Maldives said mFaisaa adheres to strong security standards, with real-time monitoring and full regulatory compliance to ensure safe and reliable transactions.
Ooredoo expressed appreciation to eeezap for the collaboration and said it looks forward to enhancing digital services for customers across the Maldives.
