Ooredoo Launches Convenient Zakat Payment Feature via m-Faisaa Service

Ooredoo Maldives has introduced a new feature allowing its customers to conveniently make Zakat payments through its m-Faisaa service.

Customers can access the Zakat payment option by navigating to the m-Faisaa tab within the Ooredoo App, which directs them to the dedicated Zakat payment page. From there, users can simply follow the prompts by clicking on the corresponding banner.

To complete the payment, customers are required to input the amount and type of Zakat they intend to contribute. Following this, they will need to enter their wallet number in the m-Faisaa platform, whereupon a one-time password (OTP) will be generated.

Upon entering the OTP, the payment will be processed, and a receipt will be issued to confirm the transaction.

The government has specified the eligible period for Zakat payments for the current year, running from March 11th to April 6th, 2024.
