The recognition marks two decades of Ooredoo’s contribution to the Maldives’ development, particularly in advancing telecommunications and digital services. Since entering the market in 2005, the company has grown from a mobile operator into a digital service provider, expanding into areas such as fintech, e-commerce, and nationwide 5G services.

Speaking after the ceremony, Khalid Al-Hamadi said the award was “a profound honour” and credited the achievement to the commitment of Ooredoo’s employees and the trust of its customers. He added that the company remains committed to driving innovation and inclusivity as part of its mission to build a “Digital Maldives.”

Ooredoo Maldives today offers 5G, AI-powered services, and digital platforms such as the m-Faisaa wallet and Moolee e-commerce platform, alongside broadband services and flagship community initiatives, including the Ooredoo Fun Run, Masrace, and Grow with Ooredoo.
