A new orchid hybrid now bears the names of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed, following a naming ceremony held today at Singapore’s National Orchid Garden.
The ceremony took place during the President and First Lady’s visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, where the orchid was formally inducted into the prestigious “VIP Orchids” collection—a tradition that honours visiting state dignitaries.
During the visit, the President and First Lady signed the visitors’ book and received a briefing on the history and key features of the gardens.
