According to the data, police questioned 5,015 people during June, of whom 4,833 were found to have prior criminal records. In the same period, officers conducted 1,037 hours and 48 minutes of foot patrols across various areas.
The report also indicates that 45,380 premises were checked during the month as part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety.
As part of its strategy to ensure a more visible and effective policing presence, the Police Service has increased patrols in key areas. It now aims for an average presence where a person on the street is likely to encounter a police officer every five minutes. Additionally, patrols have been intensified in locations known for gang-related activity and in areas with high pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
