Over 70 Imams Participate in Male’ City Three Day Training Workshop

The three-day workshop for Imaams of Male’ City has concluded successfully, with 73 participants attending the programme.

The closing ceremony was held at the Islamic Centre yesterday and was attended by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that next year, imams will be sent to Egypt for further training in collaboration with Al-Azhar University.

Last year, imams were sent abroad on more than 100 occasions, with training programmes conducted in Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.
