Park and Outdoor Gym Development Begins in Hulhumalé Phase 2

The government has begun developing a park and an outdoor gym near the STELCO flats in Hulhumalé Phase 2.
The Housing Development Corporation stated that the facilities are being built in a densely populated area to promote healthier and more active lifestyles among residents.
The project is being carried out on an empty plot of land located behind the STELCO flats’ A-Block.
Work on the development is currently ongoing, although no completion date has been announced.
The shortage of parks and open recreational spaces in Hulhumalé Phase 2 has remained a persistent concern for residents.
Recent developments in the area include the opening of a park between Hiyaa Towers H11 and H12, as well as a gym park established in front of Hiyaa Tower H14.
