The Parliament has opted to adjourn its sessions until the conclusion of the Eid holiday period, aligning with the government’s customary closure during the final ten days of Ramadan.

This decision, as explained by the Speaker of Parliament, is consistent with the practice of not convening sessions on public holidays.

During this period, parliamentary staff will adhere to the working hours observed by government employees. While a specific date for the resumption of sessions was not provided by the Speaker, it is anticipated that normal proceedings will recommence following the Eid holidays.

It should be noted that numerous significant matters brought before the 19th Parliament are currently undergoing various stages of review and deliberation.

The current term of the 19th Parliament is scheduled to conclude on May 27, with elections for the 20th Parliament slated for April 21.
