The decision was reached during a meeting held today, where the committee confirmed that all 22 members of the new Cabinet met the constitutional requirements.
Ihavandhoo MP Mohamed Shifau, a member of the main opposition MDP, proposed that despite presenting the report on the ministers collectively, the approval vote should be carried out individually for each minister.
Thulusdhoo MP Naseem, a recent addition to the ruling PNC, seconded the motion, which garnered unanimous support from the committee members present.
The list of Cabinet members includes:
- Minister of Defense: Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon
