During the parliamentary session, several members expressed concerns over the Israeli attacks on Palestinians, with many calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities.

Additionally, discussions highlighted the importance of the government taking a proactive stance in response to the situation.

Hussain’s resolution asserts that Israel’s military actions in Palestine, resulting in significant destruction and loss of civilian lives, are deemed acts of terrorism.

The resolution specifically calls on the government to adopt measures against Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people. These measures include barring Israeli citizens from entering the Maldives and discontinuing the import of products originating from Israel.

Furthermore, the resolution appeals to the international community to denounce what is described as inhumane Israeli attacks.

It advocates for the protection of human rights for the Palestinian population and emphasises the Parliament’s desire to communicate its stance on the matter to the global community.
