Participants Depart for Second Batch of National Service Initial Training

Participants selected for the second batch of the National Service Initial Training have departed to commence their training.
According to information shared by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), the second batch includes a total of 350 participants drawn from 112 islands across the Maldives, comprising 286 men and 64 women.
Participants will undergo a three-month training programme at the MNDF Composite Training Centre in Lh. Maafilaafushi.
The Maldivian National Service, also known as the Maldives National Service, is a flagship national programme initiated under the guidance of the president Mohamed Muizzu. MNDF said that the programme aims to develop citizens who are patriotic, committed to Islamic values, responsible, and resilient both physically and mentally.
Key objectives of the National Service include instilling national pride and a strong sense of identity among Maldivian youth, nurturing citizens who uphold Islamic values, and equipping participants to respond with discipline and commitment during national emergencies and disasters, said MNDF.
Upon completion of the National Service Initial Training, participants will be awarded several certifications, including:
- National Service Initial Training Completion Certificate
- Certificate III in Civic Education and Leadership
- Community Volunteer Firefighter Certificate
- Basic First Aid Certificate
- Peer Education Training Programme Completion Certificate
