Pickup Overturns After Tyre Burst On Sinamalé Bridge Highway

A pickup truck overturned in a road accident on the highway connecting Sinamalé Bridge to Hulhumalé after one of its tyres burst, according to the Maldives Police Service.

The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently crashed into road dividers and collided with a nearby car. While the car sustained only minor damage, the pickup was severely damaged in the accident.

Police confirmed that no one, including the driver, was injured. The damaged pickup is being removed from the site, and the incident remains under investigation.

The road dividers were also damaged in the crash. Accidents are a frequent occurrence in the Malé area, with several in recent years leading to fatalities and serious injuries.
