According to a statement published on social media, vehicles removed under this operation will only be released after 48 hours. Police also urged the public to use designated parking areas and warned that further action would be taken against those who continue to park unlawfully.

A police media official confirmed to Mihaaru News that the towing of vehicles along Majeedhee Magu commenced on the same day the operation was announced. On the first day, officers towed 37 motorcycles and five cars from the road.

Majeedhee Magu underwent major reconstruction in 2022, after which parking was banned on both sides of the road. Despite this, authorities report that illegal parking has gradually resumed in several sections.
