Police Confirm Death of Missing Bangladeshi Worker in Thilafhushi

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has confirmed that a Bangladeshi migrant worker reported missing earlier this week has been found dead.

Police identified the deceased as Ameen Mia, 24, who was employed in Thilafhushi, Kaafu Atoll. He had been missing since Monday, with a report filed with the police yesterday.

According to the MPS, preliminary findings indicate that Ameen died on Monday. Police said investigations are ongoing, and no further details have been released at this stage on the cause of his death.
