Police Deny Allegations of Drug Raid on Muizzu’s House
The Maldives Police Service denies Channel 13’s accusations of planting drugs and planning a raid at Progressive National Congress (PNC) presidential candidate Mohamed Muizzu’s residence.

The MPS has categorically stated that these reports are baseless and have been propagated with political motives.
In a formal statement, the MPS condemned the Channel 13 broadcast as false and intended to tarnish the reputation of the Maldives Police Service. They emphasised that such misleading information was being disseminated purely for political gains.
The MPS expressed concern over the irresponsibility of spreading unfounded rumors that undermine the public’s trust in law enforcement.
MPS further highlighted that this story was disseminated without any attempt to verify the authenticity of the allegations.
