Police Dispose of Over 1,800 Confiscated Alcoholic Beverages

The Maldives Police Service has disposed of 1,809 alcoholic beverages confiscated during various investigations.
Police said the disposal took place in Dhoonidhoo, where the central jail is located. The batch included 1,587 bottles of alcohol, 189 cans, and 33 other alcoholic products.
According to authorities, the items were seized in drug enforcement operations, tourist police investigations, alcohol-related cases, and cases handled by the Hulhumalé Police Station.
Police added that the disposal was carried out under the supervision of a designated committee to ensure proper procedures were followed.
