Police Find Large Quantity of Vapes and Accessories in Two Malé Homes

The Maldives Police Service has seized a large quantity of vapes and vaping accessories during a targeted operation in Malé.

Police said they searched two homes in the capital last Friday under a court order. Officers recovered 190 flavoured cartridges, nine Nano sticks and a disposable pod from one residence. The second home contained 331 flavoured cartridges, six refill cartridges and seven pods, bringing the total number of vape-related items seized to 544.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. In a separate raid carried out the same day, officers searched two more homes and two vehicles under a court order. They found 89 vape cartridges in one motorcycle and 59 vapes and cartridges in an apartment.

Officers also shut down a Facebook page allegedly used by the sellers to market the products online.
