Expressing disapproval of penalising the public through fines for placing stickers on vehicles, Shujau clarified that such measures were not the desired course of action for the police. He affirmed that both stickers and vehicle towing would be temporarily suspended until the completion of parking buildings.

He underscored the police force’s intention to refrain from issuing stickers until a comprehensive parking system is established. Commissioner Shujau highlighted ongoing governmental efforts to address the challenges, including proactive measures such as contacting vehicle owners in difficult parking situations and requesting immediate removal.

While acknowledging challenges related to parking near green zones and schools, Shujau clarified that the focus was on collaborative solutions. Rather than resorting to towing, the police will approach vehicle owners, urging them to promptly relocate their vehicles.
