Police Investigates Dead Body at Hulhumalé Theme Park Site

A severely decomposed body was discovered at the site of the unfinished Water Theme Park in Hulhumalé yesterday.
Police confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway.

The deceased is believed to be a 29-year-old Nepalese national who had been reported missing on Friday after last being seen on Thursday. Authorities are facing challenges in formally identifying the individual due to the advanced state of decomposition of the remains.
The Water Theme Park project, awarded to a Malaysian company in 2017, remains incomplete and the site is currently unused.
