Police Recover Stolen Motorcycles and Other Valuables Worth Over MVR 4 Million in June

Police statistics have revealed that stolen items valued at over MVR 4 million were recovered in the Malé region during the month of June.

The figures were published by the Malé Frontline Policing Department as part of its monthly report on recovered stolen goods.
According to the report, 69 motorcycles were recovered, with their combined value amounting to MVR 3,302,429. In addition, police retrieved 29 stolen mobile phones, estimated to be worth MVR 202,375.
Other recovered items included MVR 406,098 in cash, electrical equipment valued at MVR 80,400, and various other goods worth MVR 110,263.
In operations involving expatriates, 30 individuals taken into custody were handed over to Maldives Immigration for further action.
Throughout June, police conducted checks on 45,308 premises and questioned 5,015 individuals on the streets. Among those stopped, 4,833 were identified as having previous criminal records.
