Police Recover USD 20,000 Stolen in Hulhumalé

The Maldives Police Service has recovered USD 20,000 stolen from an expatriate in Hulhumalé Phase III.
The incident occurred on Friday and was reported to patrolling officers, who attended a migrant residence block to investigate. Police said a bag containing USD 20,000 was among the stolen items. Details of the other items taken were not disclosed.

A search of the surrounding area led officers to discover the stolen bag, along with a wallet and other unidentified belongings, hidden among trees. The recovered property has since been returned to the owner.
Police confirmed that no arrests have been made and that the case remains under investigation.
