President Hails Last Five Years as Epoch of Unparalleled Freedom and Independence

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih hailed the last five years as a period of unprecedented freedom and independence in the country’s political history. 

Speaking at the Independence Day celebrations, the President emphasised the significance of the occasion, considering it as the most glorious day for the nation, representing the reaffirmation of their commitment to safeguarding Maldives independence.

During his speech, the President underscored the country’s collective aspiration for 21st-century development, overcoming past challenges that hindered progress. Over the past five years, he has been steadfast in steering the nation towards a path of development and prosperity.

A notable focus of his administration has been on enhancing educational opportunities for the youth. The President declared that under this path of progress, every Maldivian child will have access to knowledge and higher education like never before, highlighting the government’s commitment to education and training.

President Solih also highlighted his administration’s efforts to promote freedom in all aspects of life, ensuring that citizens can live their lives unhindered and unburdened.
