President Muizzu Designates Kudadhoo Falhu and Two Lagoons Under Omadhoo, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has designated Kudadhoo Falhu and two lagoons, RF1329 and RF1330, as part of Thaa Atoll, Omadhoo, today.

The decision, in line with the President’s pledge, aims to support development projects that will bring economic benefits to the community, including initiatives in tourism.

The change was formalised through Decree No. 26/2025, amending Presidential Decree No. 2/2025, which lists the inhabited islands of the Maldives. The amendments were issued under the authority of the Decentralisation Act (Law No. 7/2010) and published in the Government Gazette on 5 February 2025.
