President Muizzu Extends Condolences Following Death of Former Minister

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his condolences to the family of long-serving civil servant Sumuvvul Ameer Abdul Hannan Haleem Dhoshimeyna Kilegefaan, who passed away today.
Abdul Hannan held the position of Minister of Public Safety for ten years under former President Ibrahim Nasir. He was the last surviving member of President Nasir’s cabinet and also served as a member of parliament.

In a post on X, President Muizzu expressed his sorrow, describing Abdul Hannan’s death as a “profound sadness” for the nation. He extended his prayers for patience and courage to Hannan’s family during this difficult time.
