President Muizzu Inaugurates New Futsal Pitch in Mandhoo

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the newly developed futsal pitch in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, Mandhoo yesterday, following an invitation from the island’s youth.
He received a warm welcome from residents and was accompanied by Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Cabinet Ministers, and senior officials from Government institutions and State-Owned Enterprises.

The project was initiated after the island’s youth requested during the President’s 8 October visit that a futsal pitch be completed by the end of November. The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was commissioned to deliver the facility, which includes modern turf and full lighting, within a short timeframe.
To mark the inauguration, President Dr Muizzu joined a friendly futsal match alongside the Vice President and Cabinet Ministers, securing a 6–2 win against the Mandhoo team.
